The basics

This website belongs to Downer Basketball Academy and is operated for us by Mainline Web Design. By using the site, registering, donating, or paying through it, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are registering a player under 18, you confirm you are that player's parent or legal guardian, or a coach or manager with the parent's permission.

Registration and fees

• A clinic registration is complete when the form is submitted and the fee is paid, or a financial aid code is accepted. Until then a spot is not held.
• Fees are shown on the registration page before you pay. Any processing fee is shown there too. Payments are collected by Always Competing Sports LLC on behalf of the clinic's organizing booster club and remitted to them.
• Refunds: "Registration fees are non-refundable except that, for injury or withdrawal, we issue a credit toward a future DBA clinic; if DBA cancels a session, that session is credited or refunded. The card-processing fee is non-refundable." The full policy is on our policies page.
• Donations are voluntary and are not refundable once made, except for a duplicate charge or a clear mistake, which we will fix if you email us within 30 days. A per-made-throw pledge is billed after the event for the free throws actually made, at the rate you chose. Shoot-a-Thon gifts support the Lower Merion Boys Basketball team and are collected by Always Competing Sports LLC and remitted in full.
• We do not describe donations or pledges as tax deductible. Whether a gift is deductible depends on the receiving organization's status, which the organization will confirm separately. Please do not rely on this site for tax advice.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit, including player ages, grades, health information, and contact details.
• Downer Basketball Academy may decline, move, or remove a registration that does not meet its rules or age requirements, and will say why.

Logins and team codes

The admin, check-in, and Shoot-a-Thon admin passcodes are for the staff they were issued to. Keep them private. Anything done through your passcode is treated as done by you. Tell us right away if you think someone else has it.

Shoot-a-Thon totals and leaderboard

Totals, goals, made free throws, and the leaderboard on the Shoot-a-Thon page are posted as reported by the organization and may be corrected. A pledge amount is final once the organization enters the player's made throws and the pay link is sent.

What you submit

When you submit a registration, a donation message, or a message to us, you give Downer Basketball Academy permission to use it to run the program and, for donor names and messages, to show it on the Shoot-a-Thon page unless you chose to give anonymously. You confirm you have the right to submit it. For photos that show minors, you confirm you have the permission of each player's parent or guardian. Do not submit anything false, abusive, or that belongs to someone else.

Photos and media

Clinics and camps are public. Downer Basketball Academy and its photographers may take and publish photos and video of teams and players at its events, on this site and on its own social media. For clinic players, we use photos or video for promotion only if a parent or guardian checked the optional photo consent box at registration. A parent or guardian who does not want a player shown can tell us in writing before the event, and we will do our best to honor it, and will take down any photo on request afterward.

Using the site

You may use the site to look up and take part in Downer Basketball Academy programs and to support the Shoot-a-Thon. You may not scrape it, copy it in bulk, try to get around its passcodes, submit false registrations or pledges, or interfere with how it runs. We may block access that breaks these rules.

Waivers and rules

Taking part in Downer Basketball Academy programs is also subject to the organization's rules, code of conduct, and the liability waiver you sign during registration. Those documents govern play; these terms govern the website.

No guarantees

The site is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but schedules change, weather happens, and mistakes get made. To the extent the law allows, Downer Basketball Academy, Always Competing Sports LLC, and Mainline Web Design are not liable for losses that come from using the site or from errors in what it shows. Nothing here limits rights the law does not let us limit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania.
